
Splendour in the Grass
Splendour in the Grass is an annual music festival held in Byron Bay Australia. Each year Splendour has a different theme within the graphic design and merchandise. The target audience of Splendour is young adults listening to alternative music. The brief was to create a new theme, logo and merch for 2018 Splendour. The idea behind the logo is to escape the boring reality and enter the crazy, dreamworld of Splendour. As the image I created is already very busy I chose a colour platte of just two colours to simplify it. The colours work well to convey the theme while also making it bright and eye-catching to the audience. The logo typefaced used is a Script font to compliment the medium of illustration, while the important information is in a San serif type for readability. From creating the poster I created the rest of the merch by using components of it. I feel this logo works with the brand of Splendour In the Grass and will bring positive outcomes to the festival.
